A young girl died by suicide after jumping in front of a train at Noida’s Golf Course Metro Station on Tuesday. She had arrived at the metro station with a young man. The deceased has been identified as Simmi, who was working at a private company in Noida. A probe has been launched in the case.
“A short while ago, we received information that a 25-year-old girl committed suicide by jumping in front of the metro at the Golf Course Metro Station. Police reached the spot. Further investigation is being done," Gautam Buddha Nagar DCP Ram Badan Singh said while talking with ANI.

According to Noida Police, cited by Jagran.com, in the jurisdiction of Sector-39 police station, the young woman committed suicide by jumping in front of a metro train at platform number 1 of Golf Course Metro Station. The 25-year-old woman has been identified as Simmi, daughter of Rajeev Ranjan. She was a resident of Salarpur, Sector-39 police station area.
The police stated that upon receiving information about the suicide, Sector-39 police took the body into custody and sent it for post-mortem after completing the necessary legal documentation. The family members of the deceased have been informed and further legal proceedings are underway.
The metro service was also disrupted on the Blue Line due to the incident.
The Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) took to the social media platform X to apprise commuters about the delays.
“Blue Line Update. Delay in services on the Blue Line (Line - 3) due to passenger on track at Golf Course metro station. Normal service on all other lines,” the DMRC posted on X.
