Delhi Metro Update: The corridor between Majlis Park and Jagatpur village on the Majlis Park-Maujpur metro line under construction in Phase 4 is ready for operation, jagran.com reported. The Metro Rail Safety Commissioner (CMRS) completed the process of checking the safety standards on this corridor about a month ago. DMRC (Delhi Metro Rail Corporation) is expected to announce the date of operation very soon. With the start of metro operations on this corridor, metro will be available directly from Jagatpur village to Shiv Vihar on the Pink Line. This will improve the transportation facilities for the people around Burari.

Platforms, Signal Systems Checked

There are three metro stations on this 4.6 km long metro corridor between Majlis Park and Jagatpur village - Burari, Jharoda Majra and Jagatpur village. In the second week of April, CMRS had checked the safety standards on this corridor. During this time, the platforms, control rooms, metro tracks, signal systems etc. of all the three stations were inspected.

Metro Operations To Start Soon

It was then told that no major flaw was found in this inspection. In such a situation, it was expected that the operation would start by the end of last month, but it did not happen. It is being told that soon the metro will start operating on this corridor. This corridor is a part of the Majlis Park-Maujpur corridor under construction.

Corridor To Be 12.318 Km Long

This corridor will be 12.318 km long when completed and will have eight metro stations. This corridor is an extension project of the current Pink Line. Currently, metro is operating from Shiv Vihar to Majlis Park on the Pink Line.
