Earlier, a joint team comprising the National Disaster Response Force (NDRF), State Disaster Response Force (SDRF), and the Indian Army conducted a mock drill focused on flood prevention and rescue operations at Bada Talab in Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh, on Friday.

The exercise aimed to ensure a swift and coordinated response during emergencies, improve the efficiency of rescue and relief efforts, and strengthen cooperation among the various agencies involved. The team demonstrated relief, search, and rescue operations based on a flood scenario.

During the drill, personnel practiced handling emergency situations such as evacuating people stranded on the island, rescuing those trapped in houses or trees, and carrying out saves using boats and ropes. The NDRF, SDRF, and Army teams showcased their preparedness by utilizing flood relief equipment and modern rescue techniques.
