Noida, Ghaziabad Schools Closed: Gautam Buddh Nagar and Ghaziabad authorities have announced that, all schools will remain closed on Tuesday, September 3, after the weather department issued alerts of heavy rainfall. The decision was taken to avoid any risks for students and staff during the expected downpour.

Noida, Greater Noida School Holiday

In Noida and Greater Noida, the district administration issued an official order confirming the closure of schools for one day. The order applies to all schools from Nursery to Class 12, including government, private, aided institutions and those affiliated with CBSE, ICSE, Madarsa Board and other boards. The administration has directed school managements to follow the order strictly.

The circular signed by Gautam Buddh Nagar Basic Education Officer Rahul Pawar mentioned that the safety of children was the priority as the district may experience intense rainfall.

Ghaziabad Schools Closed

Neighbouring Ghaziabad has taken the same step. District Magistrate orders confirm that schools in the city will not open on Tuesday. This applies to every institution up to Class 12, across government, private and aided schools. Officials have again instructed that no exceptions will be allowed.

Meanwhile, heavy rainfall has disrupted normal life in several parts of the country. Waterlogging and flood-like situations have been reported in many areas, forcing state governments to extend school holidays and postpone examinations.

Delhi, which has already received more than 1,000 mm rainfall this monsoon, saw continuous rain in recent days. In August itself, the national capital crossed its annual average rainfall of 774 mm.

Chandigarh has also declared a school holiday for September 3, as the city recorded more than 140 mm of rain since Sunday, according to PTI. Similarly, Punjab has ordered schools to remain shut across the state on Wednesday following widespread rainfall and floods in several districts.
