A welder was pushed off the third floor of an under-construction building in east Delhi by his co-worker after a fight over a mobile charger on Sunday night, police said on Tuesday. The incident took place at the east campus of Netaji Subhas University of Technology (NSUT) in Geeta Colony, where both men worked.

According to police, the victim, Mohammad Salman (26) borrowed Netra Pal’s mobile charger and did not return it despite repeated reminders. This led to an argument between them on the third floor of the building following which Salman suffered severe injuries.

Police said Netra Pal allegedly pushed Salman off the edge during the fight and he fell on the ground and sustained severe injuries. Some of his co-workers rushed him to the Sushruta Trauma Centre in north Delhi, where he was declared dead.
