Two armed robbers looted cash and mobile phones from a shop in Delhi’s Shahdara on Sunday night. The incident occurred around 9 pm in the MS Park area when two of the shop’s employees were at the shop. 

The robbers threatened them and looted the shop at gunpoint. According to the complainant,  the two accused entered the shop brandishing pistols and fled from the shop with half a dozen mobile headsets. The assailants also took Rs 2 lakh cast kept in the drawer, police said on Monday as reported by news agency PTI.

Police have initiated an investigation into the matter and efforts are on to nab the accused involved in the robbery.

In another incident, a power failure during a music concert at the Backyard Sports Club in Gurugram Sector-59 on October 10 led to the theft of more than 300 mobile phones from the attendees. The incident took place around 8.30 pm, where police were also present but failed to prevent the theft.

Many people realized that their mobiles were missing after the power was restored. They rushed to the Sector-65 police station to file a complaint. The Sector-65 police station in charge said that a case has been registered and they have initiated an investigation to find the reason behind the power outage during the concert.
