Delhi Rains: Residents of Delhi were relieved of the heat on Wednesday night when rain lashed numerous areas of the city. In the next two hours, the meteorological service has predicted thunderstorms with light to moderate rain and gusty winds of 30 to 40 kmph over and surrounding areas, including isolated parts in Delhi.
According to the India Meteorological Department (IMD), the highest temperature in the capital was 44 degrees Celsius, four degrees above average.
On Wednesday, the relative humidity fluctuated between 22 percent and 33 percent.
The following temperatures were recorded in Delhi by the other weather stations: 46.4 degrees Celsius in Najafgarh, 46.3 degrees Celsius in Narela, 45 degrees Celsius in Aya Nagar, 44.3 degrees Celsius in Ridge, and 44.4 degrees Celsius in Palam.

According to the weather office, Thursday will be mostly cloudy with a chance of a dust storm or thunderstorm, very little rain, and high winds reaching 30 to 40 kmph on the surface.
The maximum and minimum temperatures for Thursday are expected to be 42 and 30 degrees Celsius, respectively.
The national capital was under a Yellow alert from the Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) for the next two days earlier in the day. The warning is in effect until June 6.
