Delhi Flight Delay: Delhi witnessed continuous rainfall on Monday, leading to disruption of flight operations at Indira Gandhi International Airport. According to the Flightradar24 website, by 7:55 pm a total of 329 flights had been delayed and two were cancelled due to poor visibility and waterlogging. IndiGo and Air India advised passengers to check flight status before heading to the airport.
Delhi Flight Delay: Airlines Issue Travel Advisories
IndiGo and Air India issued advisories on Monday, asking passengers to confirm their flight status before leaving for the airport. IndiGo, in a post on X, said, “Heavy rainfall continues across Delhi and road conditions remain slow in several parts of the city. Waterlogging and low visibility are being reported on some routes to the airport. If you are travelling today, please allow for extra time and check your flight status on our app or website before you leave for the airport. Our teams are closely monitoring the situation and are available to assist you at all times. We appreciate your patience and are here to help throughout your journey.”

Air India also shared an update on X, cautioning travellers that, “Rain may impact flight operations to and from Delhi today. Please check your flight status before heading to the airport and allow extra time for your journey to the airport.”

Delhi NCR Weather Alert
The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued an orange alert for Gurugram and Faridabad, while a yellow alert remains in place for Delhi and Noida. Officials said the weather warnings will continue on September 2, with Gurugram and other parts of Haryana likely to see more heavy showers.
Delhi Weather Forecast For The Week
IMD predicted cloudy skies with moderate rain for September 1 and 2, along with the possibility of thunderstorms in the evening. From September 3 to 5, thunderstorms accompanied by rainfall are expected, followed by scattered rain or thundershowers on September 6 and 7.
