Delhi Gang-Rape Case: A shocking gang-rape case was reported in North Delhi's Civil Lines area on Wednesday. According to police, a 24-year-old woman from Tilak Nagar was allegedly gang-raped by a group of people, including a woman at her friend's residence.

Police said the crime took place after the victim went to a party at a friend's residence on Sunday night.

Police said that the victim went to the location with her sister and reported the incident to police 13-14 hours later. The facts are currently being verified, they said.

Drink Laced With An Incapacitating Substance Was Given To Woman

In the complaint filed by the woman, she alleged that upon arrival at her friend's residence, she found four men there in addition to her friend. A drink laced with an incapacitating substance was given to her, after which she turned unconscious, she claimed. The victim said that when she fell unconscious, they took her to the bathroom, where the men gang-raped her. She also claimed that the accused recorded the crime and threatened her to publish on social media if she informed the police. After the crime, the victim was dropped off outside her house.

12 hours after the crime, the woman turned up at Civil Lines police station on Monday and lodged a complaint against the accused. After recording her statement and conducting a medical examination, an FIR was registered.

"The accused are currently being traced, and CCTV footage is being analysed to identify them," they added.

Police said the investigation is underway and soon all the accused will be arrested.
