The Delhi Traffic Police issued a notice informing people that traffic will remain affected on both carriageways from AIIMS to IIT Hauz Khas until 5 PM on Sunday, July 7. The traffic from AIIMS to IIT Hauz Khas would be impacted, according to the police, because they have implemented special traffic arrangements on Aurobindo Marg.
“Due to special traffic arrangements, the traffic on Aurobindo Marg (from AIIMS to IIT Hauz Khas on both carriageways) will remain affected on 07.07.2024 from 01:00 PM to 05:00 PM. The traffic on this road will be regulated as per requirement/demand,” wrote the traffic police in a post shared on X, formerly Twitter.
Traffic Guidelines
If you have to travel during these hours, make sure you allow enough time for the journey, especially if you're going to ISBT, a train station, or an airport. Making use of public transportation may also greatly reduce traffic congestion and help to create a more controlled flow of vehicles.
“Commuters are requested to cooperate by avoiding/bypassing the above-mentioned roads, if possible, and make maximum use of public transport to reach their destinations. We appreciate your understanding and your cooperation towards the alleviation of traffic congestions during the above-mentioned period,” read the post.
“People who are going towards ISBT/Railway Stations/Airports are advised to carefully plan their travel with sufficient time at hand. The general public and motorists are advised to keep patience, observe traffic rules and road discipline, and follow directions of traffic personnel deployed at all intersections,” it added.
