Delhi Rain: Delhi-NCR residents can finally breathe a sigh of relief as the India Meteorological Department (IMD) has forecast much-needed rain, thunderstorms, and strong winds for Saturday. A yellow alert has been issued for the region, with the mercury expected to take a welcome dip.

According to the latest weather advisory, the capital is likely to have partly cloudy skies with very light to moderate rain accompanied by thunderstorms and lightning, especially during the afternoon and evening.

These weather conditions are expected to be due to the ongoing pre-monsoon activity in North India, which has led to intermittent rain and dust storms in Delhi-NCR for the past one week.

How will the temperature be today?

According to the India Meteorological Department (IMD), the city's maximum temperature is expected to be between 37 and 39 degrees Celsius, and the minimum temperature is expected to be between 25 and 27 degrees Celsius on Saturday (June 20). The IMD predicts partly cloudy skies today. The department has forecast light to very light rain, showers, and thunderstorms this afternoon or evening. Strong winds will blow at speeds of 40-50 km/h, with gusts up to 60 km/h.

According to the Meteorological Department, rain and thunderstorms are expected to continue in Delhi-NCR until June 21. According to the Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB), Delhi's air quality remained in the 'moderate' category on Friday evening with the Air Quality Index (AQI) recorded at 143.
