Delhi Weather Update: The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a yellow alert for heatwave conditions at isolated places in the national capital. Maximum temperature is expected to touch 44 degrees Celsius and minimum shall remain around 28 degrees Celsius today. The sky is expected to be partly cloudy accompanied by strong surface winds with speeds ranging from 25-35 km/h. The entire North India, including the national capital, does not seem to be getting respite from the scorching heat. After a few days of relief, Delhi is once again expected to witness a fresh spell of intense heat with no rains predicted ahead.

June 11: The maximum temperature will touch 45 degrees Celsius and minimum will remain around 29 degrees Celsius. The wind is expected to blow from the northwest at 8 km/h in the morning, increasing to 18 km/h in the afternoon, and 12 km/h by the evening. The sky will be partly cloudy with heat wave conditions at isolated places. Strong surface winds with speeds of 25-35 km/h will occasionally be gusty during the day.
June 12-13: Both days are expected to witness similar conditions. Maximum temperature shall be around 45 degrees Celsius and minimum temperature is expected to be around 30-31 degrees Celsius. Strong surface winds with speeds of 30-40 km/h will occasionally be gusty during the day on both the days.

June 14: The temperature will drop slightly to 44 degrees Celsius. Winds will blow from the northwest at 24 km/h in the morning and from the west at 24 km/h in both the afternoon and evening. The sky will be mainly clear with strong surface winds of 30-40 km/h occasionally gusty during the day.
June 15: The temperatures will rise again to a high of 45 degrees Celsius. Winds are expected to blow from the west at 28 km/h in the morning and from the west at 24 km/h in both the afternoon and evening. The weather will be mainly clear with strong surface winds of 30-40 km/h occasionally gusty during the day.

Heatwave Conditions In India
According to the IMD, heatwaves are likely to affect Delhi, Madhya Pradesh, Jharkhand, Bihar, the Gangetic plains of West Bengal, Odisha, parts of Punjab, and Haryana. In some areas of eastern Uttar Pradesh, there is a possibility of severe to very severe heatwave.
The IMD stated that extremely heavy rainfall is expected at isolated places in Goa, southern central Maharashtra, and coastal and interior Karnataka today.
