Diwali Train Ticket Update: Diwali is just around the corner, and people working in cities are gearing up to return home. However, train travellers are facing difficulties due to the unavailability of seats and long waiting lists on key routes such as Ranchi-Delhi and Ranchi-Patna.
The pressure on railways increases significantly during major festivals, and this year is no exception. The railways is struggling to meet passenger expectations due to high demand and limited availability.
Most express and superfast trains from Ranchi to Delhi have filled their quotas or have long waiting lists. Passengers are receiving messages indicating 'No Room' or 'Waiting List Full.'

The increased demand for rail traffic and limited coaches have resulted in delayed reservations, leaving some passengers without tickets.
Train Ticket Situation In Ranchi-Delhi Route
- Swarna Jayanti Express: The third AC quota has a waiting list starting from 17.
- Rajdhani Express: The third AC quota has a waiting list starting from 18, with the waiting list exceeding 100.
- Garib Rath: The quota and waiting situation are severe, with only 20 tickets available.
- Ranchi-Anand Vihar Special Train: Tickets are still available, but booking pressure is high.
Ranchi-Patna Route
- Pataliputra Express: The waiting list begins from October 15.
- Hatia-IPR Express: Although available, the quota is likely to be low due to high passenger demand in Hatia-IPR Express.
- Ranchi-Gorakhpur Special Train: The waiting list situation starts from October 18.
