Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan's oath-taking ceremony in the first session of the 18th Lok Sabha on Monday was disrupted by protests and sloganeering from Opposition MPs. The Opposition jeered "NEET-NEET" to mock the treasury benches, amid allegations of irregularities in the conduct of medical entrance exams.

Dharmendra Pradahan’s oath was met with protests in the Lok Sabha following nationwide outrage over the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET-UG) due to inflated marking and paper leak allegations.

Congress MP Rahul Gandhi had previously attacked the Centre over the irregularities in the NEET-UG 2024 exam, assuring students that his party would raise the issue in Parliament. Rahul Gandhi accused Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the BJP of deceiving the youth and jeopardizing their futures. He vowed to be the voice of students in Parliament, addressing their concerns about their future.
