Ganesh Chaturthi 2024: The Delhi Traffic Police has issued an advisory for the Ganpati Puja Mahotsav at DDA Ground, Burari Bypass. The advisory, issued on Friday, was posted on the social media platform X. It mentioned that traffic restrictions and diversions will be effective from September 7-17 (Ganesh Chaturthi).

The traffic advisory read, "The 8th Ganapati Puja Mahotsav, including Katha Parvachan, will be held at DDA Ground Burari Bypass, Outer Ring Road, Delhi, from 07.09.2024 to 17.09.2024 (08:00 AM to 12:00 Midnight). A huge gathering is expected, which may affect traffic on surrounding roads."

It further notified the measures to be taken to ensure smooth traffic management in the area. It stated, "No vehicle will be allowed to halt or park anywhere on Arihant Marg from Mukundpur Chowk to Azadpur Chowk (on both carriageways), Outer Ring Road from Burari Chowk to Mukundpur Chowk (on both carriageways), and Shanti Swaroop Tyagi Marg to Bhai Parmanand Marg (from Burari Chowk to Parmanand Colony)."

"Vehicles found parked on the above roads shall be towed away and prosecuted as per the law." Additionally it said, "Vehicles towed from Arihant Marg, from Mukundpur Chowk to Azadpur Chowk (on both carriageways), Outer Ring Road from Burari Chowk to Mukundpur Chowk (on both carriageways), Shanti Swaroop Tyagi Marg to Bhai Parmanand Marg (from Burari Chowk to Parmanand Colony), will be parked at temporary parking near Tara Singh Chowk or on Shah Alam Road behind Majlis Park Metro Station,” it added.

The advisory also informed about road closures on Shah Alam Bandh Road (opposite Burari DDA Ground) and the single carriageway on Bhai Parmanand Marg (opposite Burari DDA Ground). The advisory stated, "Commuters are requested to cooperate by avoiding/bypassing the above-mentioned roads and make maximum use of public transport."
