Ghaziabad Kanpur Expressway: The residents of Ghaziabad will soon have an easier way to Kanpur. The National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) has planned to construct a 380-kilometer Green Field Expressway as part of the Green Highway Policy. A 380-km expressway is going to be made that will connect Noida and Kanpur.
After the construction of the highway, the route will benefit several districts of Uttar Pradesh. The expressway will connect nine districts of the state. The route will be named Ghaziabad-Kanpur expressway, and it will benefit the commuters using the route.
According to the media reports, the work of expressway is expected to be completed by the year 2026 and will have four lanes. Being a greenfield Expressway, one of the most distinctive qualities is that it encourages greenery.
The new expressway will give ease from the tough traffic and congestion-related issues. The commuters will save time while using the route. It will likely take 5 hours and 30 minutes to reach Kanpur from Ghaziabad.
The expressway will be connecting districts such as Ghaziabad, Hapur, Bulandshahr, Aligarh, Kasganj, Farrukhabad, Kannauj, Unnao, and Kanpur. According to media reports, the northern portion of the expressway will be connected to National Highway 9. From the other end, the southern portion of the expressway will be connected to the 62.7-km long Kanpur-Lucknow expressway.
