Telangana Weather: The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a yellow alert for coldwave in multiple Telangana districts, including Adilabad, Komaram Bheem and Asifabad. Light to moderate rain is likely in Hyderabad with three days predicted to witness showers and thunderstorms. On Friday, the sky will most likely be cloudy with light rain at some places. During the weekend, rain or thunderstorms may lash the city.
Coldwave is slowly gripping the southern parts of the country with many states recording a drop in the minimum temperature. Hyderabad on Monday recorded a minimum temperature of 14.6 degrees Celsius, as per the IMD, while the maximum is likely to reach 29 degrees Celsius.
The city recorded a hazy morning with mist. The weatherman also predicted a partly cloudy sky in Hyderabad today and the weather conditions are expected to remain the same till Thursday. (December 19).
The weather department has predicted a slight increase in the minimum temperature that may hover between 17 degrees Celsius to 20 degrees Celsius while the maximum is likely to be in the range of 29 degrees Celsius and 30 degrees Celsius.
North India Weather
As for northern India, cold weather conditions continue to maintain a tight grip as temperatures see a drop across states including Punjab, Haryana, Jammu and Kashmir and Delhi among others. Higher reaches in Kashmir and Himachal Pradesh witnessed a slight increase in the minimum temperature.

On the other hand, Gulmarg in J&K registered a minimum temperature of 3.8 degrees Celsius -- a rise of nearly four notches from the night before. Whereas Pahalgam, the base camp for the Amarnath Yatra, recorded a low of minus 4.8 degrees Celsius, reported PTI.
