Goa Weather Update: The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a “yellow alert” after heavy rainfall lashed parts of Goa, including Panaji, over the past 24 hours. The department has forecast continued heavy showers across the coastal state until October 1 and warned of squally conditions with wind speeds of 40-50 kmph, gusting up to 60 kmph along the coast.

On Sunday, Goa’s minimum temperature is expected to hover around 22 Degree Celsius, while the maximum may reach 27 Degree Celsius. The mercury is likely to remain near 23 Degree Celsius through much of the day, accompanied by light winds at around 1.7 kmph.

Panaji Weather Forecast

On September 29, the temperature will be around 30 Degree Celsius with 25 percent humidity, under a generally cloudy sky with moderate rain and heavy rainfall expected.

On September 30, the temperature will reach 31 Degree Celsius with 25 percent humidity, featuring a generally cloudy sky with moderate rain and heavy rainfall expected.

On October 1, the temperature will be 31 Degree Celsius with 25 percent humidity, with a partly cloudy sky and one or two spells of rain or thundershowers, and heavy rainfall expected.

On October 2, the temperature will be 31 Degree Celsius with 25 percent humidity, featuring a partly cloudy sky with one or two spells of rain or thundershowers, and heavy rainfall expected.

On October 3, the temperature will be 31 Degree Celsius with 25 percent humidity, with a partly cloudy sky and one or two spells of rain or thundershowers.

On October 4, the temperature will be 31 Degree Celsius with 25 percent humidity, with a partly cloudy sky in the afternoon or evening.

Goa Rainfall Record

Goa has been experiencing rainfall since Friday, with heavy showers battering several areas, including Panaji, on Saturday. According to the IMD, the state has so far recorded 3,003.4 mm of rain this monsoon season.

Dharbandora taluka in South Goa received the highest rainfall at 4,048.9 mm, followed closely by Sanguem at 4,027.2 mm. Both talukas lie along the Sahyadri Hill ranges. Sattari taluka in northeast Goa recorded the third-highest rainfall at 3,982.5 mm, while Mormugao in South Goa reported the lowest at 2,100.6 mm.
