Hidden Camera Andhra College Case: The row over the alleged hidden camera in the girls' hostel washroom in Seshadri Rao Gudlavalleru Engineering College in Andhra Pradesh's Krishna district, intensified after students accused the institution of covering up the matter and threatening the ones who lodged a complaint over the matter. The students took up the issue with the state's Mines Minister K Ravindra who reached the campus on Friday with the district magistrate and the Superintendent of the Police.
Meanwhile, hundreds of students continued the protest over the alleged incident at the SR Gudlavalleru Engineering College in Krishna district. The state opposition has also demanded justice for the female students.

1. Andhra Pradesh police have identified and detained the prime accused, Vijay, a fourth-year engineering student. He allegedly planted and recorded over 300 videos of female students, News18 reported. He had reportedly sold videos to several boys. Later the videos were leaked and circulated, reports suggested.
2. The camera, which was planted inside one of the washrooms of the girls hostel in Gudlavalleru Engineering College was found by a female student, India Today reported.
3. The protesting students have vowed to boycott the classes and all academic activities until the administration meets their demands. At the same time, Minister K Ravindra promised that the truth would come out and the culprit would be punished.
4. A team of five women officials has been appointed to conduct a comprehensive inquiry into the incident, K Ravindra said in a release.
5. Although police have denied the claims of an alleged hidden camera in the girls' hostel washroom, They seized the laptops, mobile phones and other electronic gadgets of the suspects on Friday, August 30.
