Gujarat Weather Update: As Gujarat awaits the arrival of the monsoon, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) has forecast consistent cloud cover across the state for the next seven days. Beginning today, June 14, light to moderate rainfall accompanied by thundershowers is expected in most parts of Gujarat till June 20, offering much-needed relief from the heat, especially in regions of Saurashtra, South Gujarat, and Central Gujarat.
According to the IMD, several districts, including Bhavnagar, Amreli, Gir Somnath, Junagadh, Porbandar, Devbhoomi Dwarka, Jamnagar, Rajkot, Morbi, Surendranagar, Botad, Bharuch, Narmada, Surat, Tapi, Vadodara, Navsari, Valsad, Chhota Udepur, Daman, and Dadra and Nagar Haveli, are likely to experience light to moderate rain with thunderstorms today.
Intermittent showers are also expected in parts of North and Central Gujarat, including Kutch, Banaskantha, Patan, Mehsana, Sabarkantha, Gandhinagar, Aravalli, Mahisagar, Panchmahal, Dahod, Kheda, Anand, and Ahmedabad.

This forecast brings a welcome respite for residents enduring prolonged heat, and it marks a hopeful sign for the advancing southwest monsoon across the region.
According to the India Meteorological Department (IMD), light to moderate rainfall accompanied by thundershowers is expected on June 15, across large parts of Gujarat. Most areas in Saurashtra, South Gujarat, and Central Gujarat are likely to see widespread rain.
Districts including Bhavnagar, Amreli, Gir Somnath, Junagadh, Porbandar, Devbhoomi Dwarka, Jamnagar, Rajkot, Morbi, Surendranagar, Botad, Bharuch, Narmada, Surat, Tapi, Vadodara, Navsari, Valsad, Chhota Udepur, Daman, and Dadra and Nagar Haveli are forecast to receive light to moderate rain with thundershowers at most locations.
