Jagran Correspondent, Gurugram | A Delhi Police constable was arrested for assaulting his ex-girlfriend in a posh society in Sector 56, Gurugram, on Thursday. The accused grabbed the girl by her hair and beat her. While fleeing, he hit the society gate with his Thar.
The entire incident was captured on CCTV cameras installed in the society. Police arrested the accused and sent him to jail. According to police, the accused has been identified as Ronit Yadav, a resident of Indirapuram, Ghaziabad, and a constable in the Delhi Police. He is currently posted at a Delhi Metro station.

BBA Student Files Police Complaint
The girl filed a police complaint against the accused. According to the police complaint, the victim is pursuing a BBA degree at a prestigious Delhi college. She had befriended Ronit during their studies, but the girl, upset by his behaviour, ended her relationship with him. Angered by this, the accused arrived at the society around 5:30 in the morning in a drunken state on Thar.

Accused Threatens Girl's Family
The accused attempted to enter the girl's home. When the door of the house did not open, he abused and threatened to kill and rape the victim's mother and 15-year-old sister. Upon receiving the information, the girl returned from a family function and arrived at the society, where the accused stopped her on the road. He then dragged her by her hair onto the road and slapped her.
When a youth tried to save the girl, the accused scuffled with him. After assaulting the girl, he fled on his Thar, crashing into the society gate.
The victim's family immediately informed 112. The Sector-56 police station registered a case and arrested the accused. The court has also rejected his anticipatory bail plea. Currently, the accused is lodged in Bhondsi jail.
