Gurugram News: The District Town Planner Enforcement (DTPE) of the Town and Country Planning Department in Gurugram has issued restoration orders to more than 60 residential houses in the Sushant Lok 2 area. Earlier last month, the authority had issued show cause notices to these houses. While providing details, the authority stated that while 24 of the houses are being used for the commercial activities, construction work is being done in the other 36 houses without any permission.
The officials stated that show cause notices were sent to all these house owners, and they were directed to file a reply within 10 days. The house owners were also asked to stop the illegal activities immediately; however, they did not respond even after a month. The authority has now issued restoration orders after the illegal construction works were not stopped by the owners.
Earlier in June, DTPE had issued show cause notices to around 300 houses, further directing them to stop the illegal activities. The authority stated that many of the house owners removed the illegal construction from the stilt parking. However, the restoration order has been issued for the house owners who did not stop the illegal business activities.
While providing details, the officials stated that strict actions, including sealing and demolition, will be taken if the orders are disobeyed by the house owners. "This action is being taken as per the rules, and the house owners who have done illegal construction or commercial use will have to bring their building back to its original residential form. If the orders are disobeyed, further strict action will be taken, like sealing, demolition, and cancellation of OC," Amit Madholia, DTPE, Town Planning, was quoted as saying by Jagran.Com.
The authority has clarified that they will take similar actions in the upcoming months to remove the illegal constructions in the city.
