Gurugram Rains: Heavy rains drenched Haryana's Gurugram and other areas of the Delhi-NCR region on Tuesday, disrupting normal life by flooding roads and residences while the deluge persisted during peak hours.

Heavy rain provided relief from the searing heat of recent days in Delhi-NCR, but it also caused severe traffic congestion on National Highway 48 and in various districts of Gurugram.

Normal life was disturbed once more in Gurugram, a city prone to waterlogging and traffic congestion amid heavy rains. Several social media videos showed major roadways and parking lots flooded during the storm, submerging vehicles.

Following heavy rainfall, commuters were observed wading across a wet road on the Delhi-Gurugram Expressway, and several vehicles were reported to be stalled.

The city's Sector 10A Huda market was also impacted by waterlogging, which clogged the roadways. In some cases, drones were spotted overflowing as netizens quipped about the city's weak infrastructure and 'Rishikesh vibes'.

The India Meteorological Department (IMD) had earlier in the day issued a red warning for Delhi and the surrounding areas, forecasting thunderstorms with hail, moderate to heavy rainfall, and gusty winds that might reach 50 to 70 kmph in certain locations.
