Haryana: In a bid to ensure smooth traffic movement and improve connectivity to industrial areas, Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini laid the foundation stone of the four-lane Sohna Railway Flyover Bridge in Ballabhgarh. The construction of the four-lane Sohna ROB will benefit the industrial sectors of Faridabad, including Sector 24, 25 and 26 and residential sectors of Ballabhgarh, including Sector 55, 22 and 23.
While giving the information, Former Minister and MLA Moolchand Sharma said that the construction will start in 15 days and will be completed within 24 months. The four-lane Railway Flyover Bridge will be built for Rs 71 crore, and the Haryana State Road and Bridge Construction Corporation will supervise the construction work.
Details About The Sohna Railway Flyover Bridge
CM Saini laid the foundation stone of the four-lane Sohna Flyover Bridge, aiming to reduce traffic congestion and improve the movement of goods in nearby areas. Earlier, the announcement to make the four-lane Sohna ROB was made by former Chief Minister Manohar Lal in 2018. However, the work could not be started due to a delay in land acquisition work and pending approval from the Railway Ministry.
However, the construction work is expected to start within 15 days under the supervision of the Deputy General Manager of Haryana State Road and Bridge Construction Corporation.
“The construction work of Sohna ROB will start on the site within 15 days. It will be completed within 24 months. Sachin Kumar, Deputy General Manager of Haryana State Road and Bridge Construction Corporation, will supervise it. It will be completed within the stipulated time frame,” MLA Sharma was quoted as saying by Jagran.com.
Industrial Sectors To Benefit From Four-Lane Sohna ROB
Earlier, the industrial sectors of Faridabad, including Sector 22, 24 and 56, faced severe traffic congestion while transporting goods due to a two-lane Sohna ROB. With the approval from the Railway Ministry, the two-lane Sohna ROB will be transformed into a four-lane providing relief from traffic jams.
