Nuh Shobha Yatra: Amid demands to hold the proposed Jalabhishek Yatra in Nuh on Monday (August 28), Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar has asked the Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP) and Bajrang Dal not to hold it, reports Hindustan Times. Security has been beefed up in the district and other areas. The authorities have denied permission to hold such a procession.

1. Outsiders will be barred from entering Nuh, and security has been tightened. According to officials quoted by the news agency PTI, the police and paramilitary forces have been deployed to keep a strict vigil, while security at inter-state and inter-district borders has also been tightened.
2. As a precautionary measure, the Nuh district administration has already ordered the closure of educational institutions and banks on Monday, suspended mobile Internet and bulk SMS services, and imposed prohibitory orders in the communally sensitive district.
3. The administration has also imposed prohibitory orders under Section 144 of the CrpC preventing the assembly of four or more people in an area until Monday.
4. The Vishva Hindu Parishad (VHP) leader Alok Kumar said on Sunday that the Braj Mandal Shoba Yatra will be peacefully organised in the Nuh on Monday. He also added that no issues related to law and order would arise and that the government should focus on maintaining peace in the state.
5. "We know that G20 is going to start, so we will shorten the Yatra. But we will not leave it and will complete it tomorrow. I will also take part in it. Why will Law and Order issues arise? Why the government is there? The government is there to maintain Law and Order so that people can organise their religious events peacefully and safely. We will organise it peacefully and they (administration and govt) should maintain law and order," VHP leader Alok Kumar said, as quoted by news agency ANI.
6. Earlier in the day, Rajendra Kumar, Inspector General, South Range Rewari, said that the district administration has denied permission to hold a yatra in Nuh and that all arrangements related to the deployment of law and order have been made.
7. According to news agency IANS, some 'warning' posters were put up on shanties in Gurugram's Sector-69 ahead of the 'Shobha Yatra'.
8. "In the intervening night of Saturday and Sunday, some unknown people pasted two warning posters and threatened us to vacate the area by August 28 or face the anger," said Dinesh Rai, an inhabitant, as quoted by news agency IANS.
9. The communal clashes had erupted in Nuh and the adjoining areas after a VHP procession was attacked by a mob on July 31, leading to the deaths of six people, including two home guards and a cleric.
10. The Sarv Jatiya Hindu Mahapanchayat gave a call on August 13 to resume the Brij Mandal Shobha Yatra in Nuh on August 28.
