Haryana: A bus and a truck collided head-on near the Dadri toll in Haryana’s Jhajjar, leaving more than 40 people injured. According to official reports, as quoted by Jagran.com, the truck driver suddenly jumped the divider, causing a direct collision with the bus. From the preliminary investigations, 52 passengers were travelling on the bus, many of whom are said to be in critical condition. All the people injured in the crash have been referred to Rohtak PGI.
The impact of the accident, according to the people present nearby, was so severe that the people sitting in the front seats of the bus were thrown out of the window into the nearby fields. This caused a lot of commotion in the area. Nearby residents alerted the police and ambulance.
How Did The Accident Take Place?
According to the police report, the accident took place between Kaloi and Dadra Toll. A private bus was heading from Jhajjar’s Silani Gate to the Panasonic company in Farrukhnagar. As the bus reached Dadra Toll, a truck coming from Gurugram flouted the traffic rules and deviated from the path that it had to take, following the divider. As per the report, the rash driving of the truck driver has been identified as the main reason for this accident.
In the process, the truck driver failed to notice the approaching bus from the front, thereby causing the collision, which overturned the bus. The police are currently investigating the entire incident, while the wounded are being tended in the hospital.
