Hyderabad Traffic Update: In a major update for the commuters, the Hyderabad traffic police have announced a 45-day diversion from May 15. In its advisory, the authority stated that the restriction has been announced due to the construction works being carried out between SBI Bank, Darussalam, and Chaknawadi Culvert. It advised the residents to maximise the use of public transportation and avoid traveling to these regions. The traffic police has also advised the commuters to plan their days accordingly.

While providing details, the traffic police stated that the commuters coming from several regions, including Mallepally, Bhoiguda Kaman, and Aghapura, towards Alaska T Junction will be diverted at Darussalam towards Ek Minar. The authority further stated that the vehicles coming from Alaska Junction towards Darussalam will be diverted at Calcutta Sweet House through the Chaknawadi by-lanes.

In its advisory, the traffic police advised the commuters to follow the guidelines and stay updated during the construction period to avoid any inconveniences. In separate news, the Delhi traffic police have issued an advisory for the commuters on the NH-09.

It stated that the commuters should expect delays on the NH-09 (Ghaziabad to Sarai Kale Khan carriageway) as the National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) is carrying out essential maintenance and carpeting work. The Delhi Traffic Police has issued an advisory warning that these disruptions are expected to persist until June 2026.

To minimise inconvenience, commuters travelling from Ghaziabad toward Delhi or Sarai Kale Khan are advised to use alternative routes, such as NH-24. According to the advisory, the National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) is carrying out essential maintenance and carpeting work on the NH-09 Ghaziabad to Sarai Kale Khan carriageway.

Traffic on this stretch will be affected during the maintenance work, which will continue until June 2026.
