Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge led the INDIA bloc meeting on Monday, and leaders of 25 parties remained present. The meeting discussed ongoing political developments and agreed to raise five core issues, including Special Intensive Revision (SIR), the NEET and CBSE row, economic growth and unemployment, etc.
Among those who attended the meeting were TMC supremo Mamata Banerjee and Abhishek Banerjee, Congress leaders Rahul Gandhi, Sonia Gandhi and KC Venugopal, RJD working president Tejashwi Yadav, Jammu and Kashmir CM Omar Abdullah, PDP chief Mehooba Mufti, Uddhav Thackeray and Supriya Sule, among others.

Letter to CJI: The opposition parties decided to write a letter to the Chief Justice of India (CJI) on SIR and alleged 'vote loot', 'stealing' of elections.
"It was agreed to send a letter to the Chief Justice of India on SIR, vote loot and stealing elections. The letter is to be delivered to the Chief Justice of India very soon," Kharge said in a press conference after the meeting.
Dharmendra Pradhan's resignation: All 25 parties also agreed to demand an immediate resignation of Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan over the NEET paper leak and flaws in the CBSE On-Screen Marking system that compromised the careers of lakhs of students. Kharge said, "It was unanimously agreed to demand the immediate resignation of the Education Minister because he presided over the betrayal of lakhs of youth who appeared for NEET and CBSE examinations."
All-party meet: The third issue which got a broad consensus during the opposition huddle was a demand from the Centre to discuss issues like the economy, unemployment, farmers' issues and price hikes in an all-party meeting.
Two-month meeting plan: The leaders of all the 25 parties agreed to meet every two months to chalk out a unified strategy against the government. Kharge told the media that the next such meeting would be held in August in Hyderabad.
Daily morning meetings at LoP office: Besides political strategy, the India bloc leaders also decided to manifest the unity in the Parliament by smoothening coordination during the upcoming Monsoon Session. As part of the arrangement, all INDIA bloc MPs will attend a daily morning meeting in the office of the LoP of their respective Houses.
