Railway News:  In a move to promote tourism in famous tourist destinations in Bihar and improve the convenience of passengers, the Railway Ministry has announced to extension of the Patna-Ahmedabad-Patna Azimabad Express Train to Rajgir. The train, which previously ran between Patna to Ahmedabad, will now operate from Rajgir to Ahmedabad from July 25. The extension will provide direct rail service to the passengers of Rajgir, Nalanda and Bihar Sharif travelling to Vadodara, Kota and Ahmedabad.

Chief Public Relations Officer Saraswati Chandra said, “This route extension will not only provide convenience to the passengers but will also promote world-famous tourist destinations like Rajgir and Nalanda.”

Patna-Ahmedabad-Patna Extended Till Rajgir: Check Route, Timetable

Rajgir-Ahmedabad Azimabad Express:  Starting July 25, this train will depart from Rajgir every Wednesday and Friday at 9:00 PM. The train will go to Ahmedabad via Patna, stopping at Nalanda, Bihar Sharif, Bakhtiyarpur, Patna Sahib and Patna. It will reach Ahmedabad on the third day with scheduled halts, Jagran.com reported.

Ahmedabad-Rajgir Azimabad Express:  It will depart from Ahmedabad every Monday and Wednesday starting July 28. It is scheduled to reach Patna on the third day after scheduled stoppages. Then, it will reach Rajgir at 7:25 AM on the third day, after stopping at Patna Sahib, Bakhtiyarpur, Bihar Sharif and Nalanda.

Mokama-Patna Memu Train To Have Temporary Stoppage During Shravani Mela

To ensure the convenience of passengers during Shravani Mela, the Railway Ministry has announced a temporary stoppage of the Mokama-Patna Memu Train at Gulzarbagh Station. Train no. 63221/63222 Mokama-Patna-Mokama MEMU train running between Mokama and Patna has been given a temporary halt at Gulzarbagh station from July 24 to August 10.
