Rajasthan School Tragedy: Seven children were killed and 28injured after a roof of government primary school collapsed in Jhalawar, Rajasthan on Friday, prompting local authority to launch rescue operation. Several children were trapped under the debris of Piplodi Primary School. A number of locals rushed to the spot and supported authorties to pulling kids from the rubble.

"Students die as the roof of Piplodi Primary School in Jhalawar collapses. Many students injured. Upon receiving the information, Jhalawar Collector and SP Amit Kumar Budania left for the spot," said SP Jhalawar Amit Kumar.

President Droupadi Murmu Reacts

Reacting to the tragedy, President Droupadi Murmu condoled the deaths of children. She wrote, "The news of the collapse of a school roof in Jhalawar, Rajasthan, resulting in the death and injury of several students, is extremely tragic. I pray that God grants strength to the grieving families to bear this pain. I wish for the speedy recovery of the students injured in this accident."

Rajasthan Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma said the tragic accident caused by the collapse of a school roof in Peeplodi, Jhalawar, is extremely sad and heart-wrenching. Instructions have been given to the concerned authorities to ensure proper treatment for the injured children, he added.

"May God grant a place at His divine feet to the departed pure souls and provide strength to the grief-stricken families to bear this immense sorrow," the chief minister said.

Ashok Gehlot Condoles Deaths

Former Rajasthan CM Ashok Gehlot expressed his condolence on X. He tweeted, "In Manoharthana, Jhalawar, reports are coming in of a government school building collapsing, causing casualties among several children and teachers. I pray to God for minimal loss of life and a speedy recovery for the injured."

Will Probe Incident: Rajasthan Education Minister 

Rajasthan Education Minister Madan Dilawar said he has ordered officials to provide all posible help to kin of victims, asserting a probe will be conducted.

"I have received about a sad news regarding Piplodi Middle School in Jhalawar district. Three children died on the spot and few others were injured when roof of the school collapsed. I have directed the District Magistrate and other officials to ensure all kinds of relief and treatment to the injured children. I will get a high-level inquiry done to know the reasons behind the incident," he said.
