IndiGo Flight Cancellations: Flight disruptions across major airports of India due to ‘operational’ roadblocks at IndiGo have left thousands of passengers stranded in a critical position. An airline once known for its tight and punctual timings is now facing the ire of the public for operational delays. In Bengaluru alone, at least 102 IndiGo flights were called off early on Friday (December 5, 2025) at Bengaluru’s Kempegowda International Airport (KIA), marking the fourth consecutive day of the airline’s service disruption.

One of the stranded passengers is Namita, who was on her way to Haridwar to immerse the ashes of her late father. However, the recent flight disruptions have prolonged her journey. Holding an urn between her hands, she pleaded to the government to help her reach Haridwar 'urgently.'

"I am carrying my father's ashes with me. I was to fly from Bengaluru to Delhi to Dehradun today. From there, I have to go to Haridwar to immerse my father's ashes tomorrow," Namita said, quoted news agency ANI.

She added that the airline had cancelled her flight without any prior intimation, and there were no flights for today. She further said, “Other airlines have increased their prices exorbitantly, going up to Rs 60,000 per person, which I cannot afford. It is five of us.”

She further said that there were no alternative modes of transportation available on the train or on the bus, adding that her family had already booked train tickets to Jodhpur, her native place, from Haridwar.

"We are unable to reach Haridwar. All our reservations have gone down the drain. A partial refund will be received after a week. We have no idea how much money will be deducted. I request the government to arrange something for me to reach Haridwar because my father's ashes need to be immersed urgently."
