In response to the ongoing operational disruptions faced by IndiGo Airlines, the Indian Railways announced on Friday a significant measure to assist stranded travellers. An additional Third AC coach with 72 seats will be attached to the Jammu-New Delhi Rajdhani Express.
Duration And Availability
Effective Date: Starting tonight (December 5).
Duration: The arrangement will remain in place for the next seven days.
Booking: Passengers affected by the disruptions can avail of this facility by booking seats in this newly added coach.
Official Statement
Senior Divisional Commercial Manager Uchit Singhal confirmed the decision, stating that the primary aim is to provide relief and better facilities to passengers facing inconvenience.
"In view of the ongoing flight disruptions, Indian Railways has taken a significant step to augment one 3rd AC coach of 72 seats in the Jammu-New Delhi Rajdhani for the next seven days."

Context
Airport Chaos The decision comes amidst reported chaos at Jammu airport. According to sources, 11 IndiGo flights from the airport were cancelled due to operational issues, severely affecting travel schedules. The sudden cancellations led to angry protests by passengers, who cited a lack of response from the airline as a major grievance.
