IndiGo Flight Cancellation Update: The passenger chaos continues to intensify as IndiGo has suspended nearly 400 flights at various airports across the country, causing further inconvenience to already stranded passengers and drawing political criticism.
At least 102 IndiGo flights were called off early on Friday (December 5, 2025) at Bengaluru’s Kempegowda International Airport (KIA), marking the fourth consecutive day of the airline’s service disruption.
As per the airport officials, 52 arrival and 50 departure flights were called off today, on Friday, due to operational reasons. Earlier, 99 flights were cancelled from Bengaluru Airport.
Delhi Airport News: IndiGo Cancelled 225 Flight
On the other hand, 225 Indigo flights were called off at the Indira Gandhi International Airport in Delhi from early morning on Friday. These 225 flights included both arrival and departure, ANI reported.
All IndiGo domestic flights out of Delhi Airport have been cancelled till midnight on Friday.

16 Indigo Flights Cancelled At Pune Airport
Between midnight and 8:00 am on 5 December 2025, a total of 16 IndiGo arrival flights and 16 IndiGo departure flights were cancelled, while one NAG–PNQ flight was diverted to Hyderabad due to Flight Duty Time Limitations (FDTL).
These disruptions follow a decision by the IndiGo airlines to curtail flights from December 8 to minimise flight disruptions, and delays and cancellations will continue for the next two to three days. Indigo had informed the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) regarding the same.
According to a news agency PTI, nearly 400 IndiGo flights have been cancelled across the country at multiple airports since early Friday.
Yesterday, over 550 domestic and international IndiGo flights were suspended across major airports, including Bengaluru, Delhi, according to PTI. Airports affected included Mumbai (85 flights), Hyderabad (68), Chennai (31), Bengaluru (99) and Delhi (30).
Rahul Gandhi Slams Centre Govt Over Indigo Fiasco
Senior Congress leader and Leader of Opposition (LoP) in Lok Sabha, Rahul Gandhi, called the IndiGo service fiasco a result of the Union government’s monopoly model, adding, ‘ India deserves fair competition in every sector’.

Making a post on social media platform X, Rahul Gandhi wrote, "IndiGo fiasco is the cost of this Govt’s monopoly model. Once again, it’s ordinary Indians who pay the price - in delays, cancellations and helplessness. India deserves fair competition in every sector, not match-fixing monopolies."
Passenger Chaos At Airport
"I'm here for over 12 hours. Every time they are telling us one-hour delays, two-hour delays. We were going to a wedding, and we didn't even have our luggage. IndiGo staff is not telling us anything. Worst airlines right now. I don't understand why they are taking new passengers and stocking up luggage," a flier was quoted as saying by NDTV.
