DK Shivakumar And RCB: Karnataka Deputy Chief Minister DK Shivakumar on Wednesday reacted to the buzz that he is planning to buy IPL franchise Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB), asserting he is not mad and doesn't have time for it.

"I am not a madman. I'm just a member of the Karnataka Cricket Association from my younger days, that's all. I don't have time, though I had offers to be part of the management," he said.

The deputy chief minister asked why would he need RCB. He added at a lighter note that he even does not drink Royal Challenge (wine).

"Why do I need RCB? I don't even drink Royal Challenge," the senior Congress leader said as he refuted rumours of him buying the RCB franchise.

Shivakumar Attacks BJP On Bengaluru Stampede

On the Bengaluru stampede, Shivakumar said, "I don't want to comment on it. It is a one-man commission, and all the officers are cooperating with that. Even if the BJP people want to say anything, they can also give their opinion. I don't want to comment on something where the judiciary is involved. We are coming out with a policy regarding crowd management and to prevent such incidents."
