A heartbreaking video from Jaipur has gone viral, showing a young man, identified as Haldar, breaking down in tears after losing his phone on a waterlogged road. Haldar reportedly lost his balance while riding his Activa scooter through a flooded stretch near Ramniwas Bagh, a central area in the Rajasthan capital.
As he fell, his mobile phone slipped into the murky floodwaters. Despite searching frantically for a long time, he was unable to retrieve it. Overcome with emotion, Mr. Haldar broke down in tears, expressing his frustration by blaming the authorities and saying that the system had failed people like him.
In the viral clip, a young man is seen breaking down in tears after losing his phone while navigating a flooded road on his two-wheeler. He reportedly lost balance, slipped, and dropped his phone into the murky water, where it vanished. Soaked and visibly distressed, he was seen desperately searching for it, but without success. Bystanders recorded the emotional moment as he sat crying by the roadside. The video has since sparked a wave of reactions online, with many expressing sympathy over his loss.
Locals report that flooding outside Ravindra Manch, just metres from where the incident occurred, is a recurring issue. Poor road levelling and a faulty drainage system often result in stagnant water that lingers for days after even a single spell of rain. Hidden potholes, some as deep as 2 to 4 feet, make the flooded roads even more hazardous. Several other riders reportedly experienced near-accidents at the same spot on the day of the incident.
