Patna Traffic Advisory: The Patna traffic police has implemented special traffic arrangements for Friday on the occasion of Krishna Janmashtami. In its advisory, the traffic police stated that restrictions have been announced near the ISKCON temple to manage the extra rush. The commuters have been advised to follow the guidelines, plan their travel accordingly, and cooperate with the ground officials to avoid inconveniences.
Restriction On Buddha Marg
While providing details, Traffic Superintendent of Police Sagar Kumar stated that this arrangement will be in effect from Friday morning until the end of the Janmashtami program. He asserted that entry of all types of vehicles, including private vehicles, autos, e-rickshaws, and minibuses, will be strictly prohibited on Buddha Marg and toward the ISKCON Temple.
As per the advisory, vehicles from the GPO flyover towards Buddha Marg will be stopped, while movement on Adalatganj Road will remain closed in both directions. Apart from this, vehicles from Kotwali will be diverted towards Patna Junction via Dakbangla intersection to manage the rush.
Traffic Police Provide Details
The officials stated that vehicles heading towards the ISKCON Temple from the GPO will be diverted to R-Block, adding that the commuters travelling to Srinivas Path from Bandar Bagh will also be prohibited. The traffic police has made parking arrangements at Mauryalok, Buddha Smriti Park, GPO, Multi-Modal Hub and Miller High School campus.
As per the reports, three DSPs, 50 police officers, and 100 personnel have been deployed in the restricted zones to manage the situation. Apart from this, the Dolphin team and mobile teams from the Traffic Police Station will also be patrolling throughout the day.
A large number of employees are likely to arrive in the capital city on the auspicious occasion. The devotees have been advised to be vigilant about the safety of their belongings and maximise the use of public transportation to avoid inconveniences.
