A BJP leader’s son has been taken into custody in connection with a Class 10 science exam paper leak. Koderma police have taken Prince alias Prashant Sao, who is the son of BJP leader Prakash Saha, into custody for his alleged involvement in leaking the Jharkhand Academic Council (JAC) Class 10 science exam paper, a Jagran.com report stated. Prince, who runs Pragya High School and a coaching centre in Koderma district’s Markacho village, is suspected of distributing the leaked paper.

The science exam paper was reportedly shared in a WhatsApp group named JAC Board Examination Paper-2025 Question Original on February 19. Prince, identified as the group's admin, is currently being interrogated regarding the leak. Authorities are also investigating whether the paper was further circulated through Telegram.

The JAC science paper was leaked on February 18, two days before the scheduled exam on February 20. Reports suggest several students in Markacho accessed the leaked paper on February 18 and 19.

In response, the council cancelled both the science and Hindi exams after verifying that the leaked papers matched the originals. The Hindi exam had already taken place on February 18, while the science exam was yet to be conducted. JAC also announced that new dates for the re-examinations will be declared soon.
