Railway News: The railways on Tuesday announced that services of several key trains to Jharkhand will be affected in September due to maintenance work at Durgapur station on the Dhanbad-Howrah route. The authority stated that 32 trains will remain cancelled on different days between 15 and 22 September. Apart from this, the routes of other trains will also be diverted during this period of time. The authority stated that the cancellation of the trains will affect the residents of several states, including Jharkhand, Bihar, and West Bengal. It also pointed out that the number of passengers on these routes is also likely to surge due to Navratri and other festivals. The railway has advised the passengers to follow the guidelines and plan their travel accordingly to avoid any inconveniences.

While providing details, the railways stated that several trains, including the Dhanbad Howrah Coalfield Express, Black Diamond Express, Shipra, and other trains passing through Dhanbad, will remain cancelled due to the maintenance work. Apart from this, the other trains, including Rajdhani, Shatabdi, and Vande Bharat, will operate late on different days. The Eastern Railways further stated that the Ranchi-Kamakhya Express and Malda Town Surat Express will not go to Durgapur on certain dates due to the repair work.

Train number 12175, the Howrah Gwalior Chambal Express, on September 21

Train number 12329, Sealdah Anand Vihar Bengal Sampark Kranti Express, on September 16

Train number 12330, Anand Vihar Sealdah Bengal Sampark Kranti Express, on September 17

Train number 12339, the Howrah Dhanbad Coalfield Express, on September 21

Train number 12340, the Dhanbad Howrah Coalfield Express, on September 22

Train number 12357, the Kolkata Amritsar Durgiana Express, on September 16

Train number 12358, the Amritsar Kolkata Durgiana Express, on September 18
