Jharkhand Weather Update: The India Meteorological Department (IMD) on Saturday stated that several districts of Jharkhand are likely to receive rainfall in the upcoming few days. The weather department stated that along with rainfall, these districts are also set to witness gusty winds along with thunderstorms till May 29. It stated that the rainfall is likely to reduce the temperature by two to four degrees Celsius, providing major relief from the scorching heat. The weather department further advised the residents to follow the guidelines and limit their outings to avoid any inconveniences.

Rain Expected In Multiple Districts Till May 29

The weather department also stated that some districts, including Gumla, Dumka, Lohardaga, Ranchi, Khunti, and Hazaribagh, received light to moderate rainfall on Saturday. The visuals from these areas suggest that the commuters had to face a lot of problems while traveling due to waterlogging on the roads. It stated that the maximum rainfall of 64.4 mm was recorded in Pakur district on Saturday, adding that while the maximum temperature was recorded in Daltonganj at 37.4 degrees Celsius, the minimum temperature remained around 21.1 degrees Celsius.

The IMD further stated that the weather in multiple districts is likely to change significantly after 2 PM, adding that these districts are likely to witness light rain, along with lightning and gusty winds. The weather department further stated that the monsoon is also likely to arrive early in the state, adding that the effect of low pressure in the Bay of Bengal will be seen in Jharkhand till May 29. It further stated that the temperature is not likely to change till May 29, adding that the heat is likely to make a comeback from the first week of June.

Apart from Jharkhand, a rain alert has also been issued for multiple districts, including West Bengal, Bihar, Delhi, Kerala, Tamil Nadu, and Telangana.
