Jio Hotstar Domain Name News:  The Delhi-based techie, who brought the JioHotstar domain name in 2023, months ahead of Reliance-owned Jio and streaming app Hotstar's merger, has reportedly sold it to a Dubai-based charity organisation, the latest homepage of the URL showed on Saturday. This came days after the web developer, who wanted Reliance to fund his Cambridge University fee for over Rs 1 Crore in lieu of the domain name, said that the company executives had denied his request and informed him that they would take legal recourse.

According to the information provided on the new homepage of 'Jiohotstar.com', the website was brought by two Dubai-based young siblings - Jainam and Jivika - who run an organisation which helps children with education and other charitable work.

"Our recent journey began during our summer holidays when we left our home in Dubai for 50 unforgettable days in India. We had a purpose: to connect with children from various backgrounds, share our love for learning, teach skills for studying and setting goals, and inspire them to dream big," information provided about the duo on the homepage read.

The page owner further said that they spent a portion of the money collected through their organisation's work to support a young software developer from Delhi by purchasing this domain name for his benefit.

"When we returned to Dubai, we used a portion of this collection to support a young software developer from Delhi by purchasing this domain for his benefit," the page read on Saturday.

The duo said that through sharing their journey on the page, they aim to inspire others, however, adding that they are keeping the domain open for future sale to anyone who wants to continue this positive mission.

The latest move by the anonymous app developer, dreaming of studying at the prestigious Cambridge University, is garnering many reactions across social media platforms.

"JioHotstar Update! Delhi kid sold the domain to someone else in UAE and now Ambani lawyers can't fight them because now it's not Indian law it's international law and as per international law Ambani has to pay whatever amount they ask. Well played kiddo," wrote an X user @Curious_Shubh.

Another user @RakeshKhajuria posted: "What a super twist to the JioHotstar domain name saga!! Siblings from Dubai brought the domain from that developer dude. And they are just kids, who are YouTubers and a few other things. Now Reliance lawyers can’t drum-roll anymore for it’s a Dubai jurisdiction thing now."
