While the Army remains on high alert along the 740-km Line of Control (LoC) to foil infiltration attempts from Pakistan, police and security forces are conducting aggressive anti-terror operations across Jammu and Kashmir. These operations are target-specific, focusing not only on terrorists but also on their overground workers (OGWs) and sympathisers, with the aim of dismantling the entire terror ecosystem.

Hawala money rackets, drug smuggling and peddling are also under the scanner, as intelligence inputs trace their roots to handlers operating across the border. Funds raised through these networks are believed to fuel terrorism in the region. In several cases, drones have been used to drop arms, ammunition, money, and drugs for terrorists. To counter this, the Border Security Force (BSF) has deployed advanced anti-drone systems along the international border in Jammu, Samba and Kathua districts.
