Second Vande Bharat For Jodhpur
This will be the second Vande Bharat train for Jodhpur residents, coming two years after the first semi-high-speed service was launched between Jodhpur and Sabarmati on July 7, 2023.
Railway officials said the addition of this train is expected to improve connectivity between Jodhpur and Delhi, reduce travel time and provide passengers with a faster, more comfortable journey.
In separate news, a viral video from the Ahmedabad Sabarmati Express has raised safety concerns after it showed a man carrying a snake and demanding money from passengers. The clip, reportedly filmed near Mungaoli in Madhya Pradesh, captured the man waving the reptile close to commuters, leaving many visibly frightened. Some passengers were seen handing over cash. Social media users condemned the act, calling it harassment rather than entertainment. Following the outrage, RailwaySeva sought journey details from the complainant and directed the Railway Protection Force (RPF) to look into the matter, urging travellers to report such incidents via RailMadad or helpline 139.
