SP Bathinda, Narinder Singh, said they received a call yesterday evening reporting a foul smell coming from a car parked at Adesh Hospital. Upon investigation, police found the body of a girl in the back seat of the vehicle. Preliminary identification revealed her as Kanchan Kumari, also known as Kamal Kaur, from Ludhiana. She had left home on June 9, telling her mother she was going to attend a promotional event.
Police confirmed that the location is not the site of her death; her body was dumped in the car postmortem. The car belonged to the victim and was the same vehicle she used to leave home.

According to police sources, Kanchan had faced criticism a few months ago from an overseas-based gangster for allegedly using objectionable language in her content.
Superintendent of Police (City) Narinder Singh confirmed on Thursday that the deceased was a 30-year-old resident of Lachman Colony, Ludhiana.
Due to the advanced stage of decomposition, it is currently not possible to determine the presence of any injury marks. The body has been sent to Shaheed Bhai Mani Singh Civil Hospital for a post-mortem, the SP added.
