The Gurugram traffic police has issued a travel advisory for heavy vehicles on NH-48 to ensure the safety of Kanwars and smooth traffic movement. The traffic police have made several arrangements in Gurugram. For the next three days, heavy vehicles will not be allowed on NH-48 from July 21 to July 23 until 12 midnight. These vehicles will be diverted to alternative routes to reach their destinations.
Gurugram Traffic Advisory: Alternative Routes For Heavy Vehicles
- Heavy vehicles can use the Dwarka Expressway via Mahipalpur and Delhi Airport to reach their destinations.
- Vehicles heading to the Delhi-Mumbai Expressway can use the Kundli-Manesar-Palwal (KMP) Road.
- Those going to Rajasthan, Nuh, and Faridabad will pass through the Dwarka Expressway. Vehicles bound for Jhajjar, Rewari, and Pataudi are advised to take the Dwarka Expressway via Dhankot and Pataudi Cut.
The police have prepared a detailed traffic management plan to ensure the smooth and safe journey of Kanwariyas. This includes route diversions and deployment of additional police forces. According to DCP Traffic Rajesh Mohan, the movement of heavy vehicles on main roads can increase the risk of accidents, given the large number of Kanwariyas walking on the roads, Jagran.com reported.
NH-48 Traffic Advisory: Strict Action Against Traffic Rule Violators
The traffic police will take strict action against drivers who violate traffic rules. The advisory was issued on Sunday afternoon in anticipation of a large number of Kanwariyas arriving in the area due to the Kanwar Yatra. The police are working to minimise disruptions and ensure a safe journey for all road users.
