The Delhi Police Crime Branch has arrested Bandhu Man Singh, a gangster, linked with the firing incident at Comedian Kapil Sharma's Kaps Cafe in Canada. According to the officials, Singh is a prominent criminal of the Goldy Dhillon gang and has several cases lodged against him.

According to the Delhi Police, a Chinese pistol and a few rounds of cartridges were recovered from his possession. Further investigation is underway to identify additional conspirators and ascertain the extent of the gang's activities in India and abroad, officials said.

Singh was responsible for coordinating and running Dhillon's underworld network. Police believe that a conspiracy was hatched by the group to target popular artists' restaurants as an act of intimidation. A senior police officer said the arrest followed specific intelligence inputs.

Kaps Cafe Under Fire Thrice In Past 

Kapil's Kaps Cafe in Surrey has come under attack at least three times between July and October. The incidents have triggered panic for all the customers who have visited the place. Fortunately, no one has been injured in these incidents.

According to NDTV, Singh, who has been arrested by the police, allegedly provided weapons and a vehicle to the shooters who carried out the first shooting on July 10. Subsequently, the local police have identified the vehicle used by the shooters, post which he fled from Canada in August and returned to India.

How Was Man Singh Arrested?

Back in India, he was arrested in Delhi after the local police caught his trail from an arms smuggling group. The smugglers claimed they had supplied weapons to Sekhon, which were used in the shooting incident. Based on their claims, he was picked up by the police.
