Karnataka Weather: According to the Meteorological Department, heavy rain is likely to hit multiple districts in south interior Karnataka till May 6. Bengaluru city, Bengaluru rural, Kolar, Chikkaballapur, Ramanagara, Mysuru, Chamarajanagar, Hassan, Tumkur, Davangere, Shivamogga, Chikkamagaluru, Bellary, Chitradurga, Mandya will witness thunderstorm and lightning till May 6. During this time, isolated light rain is expected to occur in Gadag, Bidar, Raichur, Vijayapura, Yadgir, Haveri, Belgaum, Dharwad, Bagalkot in the north interior.

On April 30, Bengaluru will witness light rainfall. The minimum and maximum temperatures are expected to hover between 24 degrees Celsius and 33 degrees Celsius, respectively. As per the weather body a cyclonic circulation has already formed in the Bay of Bengal and is moving from the Marathwada region to Karnataka and Tamil Nadu, at 0.9 km above mean sea level. This trough is influencing weather conditions in Karnataka.

Karnataka Weather In May

From May 1 to May 3, normal rainfall will occur in the interior districts including Bengaluru city, Davangere, Mangalore, Hubli, Belgaum. Then there will be heavy rainfall for the next three days. Pre-monsoon rains accompanied by thunder and lightning are expected to lash almost all the Karnataka districts, especially in the southern interior.

Karnataka Temperature Variation

As per the Meteorological Department, the maximum temperature in Karnataka touched 41 degrees Celsius in Kalaburagi. Haveri, Bagalkot, Gadag, Koppal, and Dakshina Kannada districts also recorded high temperatures. There might be a slight decrease in the temperature in the areas receiving rainfall for the next couple of days.
