Bengaluru Weather Update: The India Meteorological Department (IMD) on Tuesday stated that several districts of Karnataka, including Bengaluru, are likely to receive light to heavy rainfall till July 28. The weather department stated that while the coastal regions are likely to witness heavy rainfall, the other parts are expected to receive light to moderate rainfall. The continuous rainfall is likely to provide relief from the heat by reducing the temperature by two to four degrees Celsius. However, the rainfall is also likely to lead to issues like waterlogging and power outages. The weather department has advised the residents to follow the guidelines and limit their outings to avoid any inconveniences.

In a post on X (formerly Twitter), the Karnataka State Natural Disaster Monitoring Centre (KSNDMC) stated that the coastal and hilly regions are likely to witness thunderstorms and gusty winds along with heavy rain. "Scattered moderate rain is likely in coastal and hilly districts of the state, with scattered heavy to very heavy rain. Scattered to widespread light to moderate rains and scattered heavy rains are likely in inland districts," KSNDMC stated in its post.
