Kedarnath Yatra Registration 2026: The Kedar Valley, which lay silent for six months during the winter season has once again come alive. On Wednesday, with the opening of the doors of Baba Kedar's shrine, the chants of "Har-Har Mahadev" echoed everywhere along with the hustle and bustle of pilgrims. The doors were opened to devotees on Wednesday morning with Vedic chanting and rituals. Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami was also present on this auspicious occasion. During the opening of the doors, a grand flower shower was also performed.

Registration Process
Registration for Chardham Yatra is mandatory and its process is streamlined through the Tourist Security Management System. It is linked to Aadhaar authentication. Aadhaar-based registration can be done through online portals, mobile applications, or at physical counters.
After registration, the passenger will receive a confirmation certificate and SMS, which can be shown to the authorities in physical or digital form. Registration records contain a QR code and a unique ID. Authorised Yatri Mitra scans these to prevent fraud. Pilgrims will be allowed to enter the shrine on the same date they were registered.
