Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal’s wife Sunita on Thursday read out the former’s message to the lawmakers in Delhi. In the AAP convener’s message from jail, he has asked Delhi MLAs to visit their respective constituencies and ensure people don't face any problems, his wife Sunita Kejriwal said in a video shared by AAP.

“Arvind Kejriwal has sent a message for all the MLAs from jail,” she reads. Kejriwal’s message: “Just because I am in jail, the people of Delhi should not suffer in any way. Every MLA should daily visit their area and discuss people's problems and sort them out. I am not talking about problems in government departments, but we should also address other problems of people. Two crore people of Delhi are my family. They should not be in trouble.'

This is the second occasion when Kejriwal’s wife has read out his message from jail.

Arvind Kejriwal was arrested by the Enforcement Directorate (ED) on March 21 in a money laundering case linked with the Delhi Excise policy. This came hours after the Delhi High Court turned down his interim protection plea. Kejriwal was sent to ED custody until March 28, which was extended until April 1

On April 1, he was sent to judicial custody for 15 days by the court after ED said they didn’t want to further question him, adding that he was "uncooperative" and gave evasive answers.

The Delhi High Court on Wednesday heard Kejriwal’s plea against his arrest. The verdict in this regard was reserved after a long debate between ASG and Abhishek Manu Singhvi.

Several petitions were moved in the court seeking Kejriwal’s removal as the CM. However, AAP leaders are adamant about continuing with Kejriwal and have sought special provisions for him to function from jail.
