The Kerala Health Department has urged individuals who may have been in contact with the patients to closely monitor for symptoms and promptly report any signs of illness. In response to the situation, a state-level Rapid Response Team (RRT) has convened to assess the cases and has directed the establishment of additional isolation facilities.

Health authorities have also advised all international travelers to isolate themselves and notify the health department if they develop symptoms of the disease. Increased awareness campaigns, particularly at airports, have been launched, with a focus on protecting vulnerable groups, including the elderly, pregnant women, and children.
